California Poppy

The poppies are starting to "blanket" the hills - they are so pretty. They have been my favorite flower since I was really young...I feel like it's God's gift to me when I get to see them everywhere!

This was taken last year at this time....this is when I started getting more into photography...can you see why? I love the bright vibrant colors....

Next week my photo class is going to go out and take pics in the flowers. I'll try to post some of their work. They learned some photoshop techniques today - using layer masks pecifically...Their research assignment this week is aperature. Last week was white balalnce - they did a great job...
